New Assassin’s Creed 3 details and concept art released

A bunch of new gameplay details and concept artwork for Assassin’s Creed 3 have shown up online. <br /> The details come courtesy of Game Informer, which also managed to get its hands on some of the game’s concept art. According to the magazine, Boston will be one of the two major cities that players will be able stalk their way around. Since the city has plenty of tall buildings, churches and docks, this is where the traditional building-scaling acrobatics and leaps of faith will take place. The concept art also shows off the Great Fire of New York, leading to speculation that this will form the other big explorable city in Assassin’s Creed 3. Ubisoft Montreal is keen on exploring the battles of the American Revolution – as indicated by details on its new AnvilNext engine - but will task Connor, the game’s main character, with ancillary goals. For the first time in the series, Assassin’s Creed 3 will go through seasonal changes which, along with the obvious visual shifts, is said to have an impact on gameplay too. Enemies and NPCs will apparently behave differently in winter and frozen pools of water will offer Connor new ways to get around and hunt down his prey. Much like Ezio’s transition from young Italian to dedicated killer in Assassin’s Creed 2, players will see Connor go through various stages of his life. Ubisoft’s concept image shows the half-English, half-Native American before he joins the Assassin’s order. The game will also feature important historical figures like Benjamin Franklin, George Washington and Charles Lee.
