Summary: Surprisingly, this is the first time Team Ninja’s scrapper will appear on a Nintendo platform and man alive, has it got some serious competition in the form of Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition. Dead Or Alive: Dimensions should bring all of the series’ trademarks to 3DS, and that means fighting that’s faster than the norm, a focus on keeping your opponent in the air while you beat seven bells out of them with combos and, yes, female fighters with unfeasibly large and very bouncy breasts.
It’s somewhat unfortunate that Dead Or Alive will forever be associated with Kasumi and her fellow preposterously proportioned pugilists as the fighting itself has, by and large, been consistently top quality during the game’s 15 year history. However, rumours abound that you’ll be able to use the 3DS tilt function to add extra jiggle, so the stigma isn’t going to go away any time soon. Sigh.
Dead Or Alive: Dimensions is slated for a 2011 release on 3DS. We suggest it avoids hitting the shops anywhere near the time that SFIV: 3D Edition does.
